Baked Skinless Chicken Thighs


What chicken dish can be more delicious yet lower in calories than baked skinless chicken thighs? The best thing about this dish is how easy it is to prepare it at home and by removing the skin of the chicken thighs, you can be rest assured that you will be eating something that is low in fat.


Below is a quick and easy recipe for making baked skinless chicken thighs at home:




Ingredients:


  • 4 chicken thighs, skinned
  • 2 egg whites, beaten lightly
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/3 cup wheat flour
  • 1/4 cup skim milk
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 1/3 cup whole wheat bread crumbs, finely crushed
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons onion powder



Instructions:


1. In a mixing bowl, add in the skim milk, egg whites, lemon juice, flour, soy sauce, garlic powder and onion powder. Combine and mix well.


2. In another bowl, add in the bread crumbs and onion powder. Combine and mix well.


3. Now dip each chicken thigh in the first bowl then roll them in the second bowl with the bread crumbs.


4. Place them in a non-stick pan and cover it with foil.


5. Bake them for 35 minutes at 375°F (191°C).


6. Now, remove the foil and turn the heat up to 425°F (218°C). Continue baking for another 20 minutes until the coatings are crisp.
