Chicken Thigh Temperature

One of the most common questions that people like to ask when it comes to cooking chicken is what is at what temperature should you bake the chicken thigh and for how long.

While there is no definite answer to that question, generally you want to bake the chicken thighs for 25 minutes at 375F. Convection ovens will take less time and the temperature will vary between different oven models.

You can shorten the cooking time by increasing the chicken thigh temperature or lengthen the cooking time by decreasing the baking temperature. Experiment around and you will find the optimal oven temperature for baking your chicken thighs.

The best way to make sure that your chicken thighs are cooked thoroughly is to take them out and cut a piece in the middle using a knife to ensure that it is not pink but in a color that shows that they are cook completely. The juices should run clear and not pink or bloody. Do not overcook your chicken thighs though because they will lose their moisture and taste dry if you do so.
