Stuffed Boneless Chicken Thighs


Making stuffed boneless chicken thighs is fun because you get to stuff your favorite mixture onto each chicken thigh. You are fry to use your own mixture too if you have one.


Here is the recipe for making stuffed boneless chicken thighs:




Ingredients:


  • 8 chicken thighs, boned
  • 3 slices bacon
  • 2 cups soft bread crumbs
  • 2 tablespoons sherry
  • 1/2 cup celery, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper, divided
  • 1/4 teaspoon poultry seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt



Instructions:


1. Heat a frying pan over low heat and add in the bacon. Cook them until crisp or for 10 minutes.


2. Remove the bacon, drain, crumble then set aside.


3. As you pour off the bacon drippings, you want to leave about 2 tablespoons of the drippings in the frying pan while reserving the rest.


4. Add in the onion and celery into the frying pan with drippings and sauté them until soft.


5. Remove the frying pan from heat and add in the poultry seasoning, a little pepper, bread crumbs, bacon and sherry. Combine and mix well.


6. Now comes the fun part. With a spoon, take 2 tablespoons of the stuffing mixture and place them onto each thigh which you will then roll it up and fasten with skewers.


7. Arrange the stuffed chicken thighs in a casserole and before you bake it, brush each thigh with bacon drippings and sprinkle the garlic salt and remaining pepper over them.


8. Preheat the oven to 450F and bake them for 5 minutes at first.


9. After that, reduce the temperature to 350°F (177°C) and continue baking for another 45 minutes.


10. Serve and enjoy.
